Digital Congressional Casework
Constituents can request assistance with a federal agency on any web-enabled device (tablet, mobile phone, desktop, laptop) from anywhere.
After a constituent electronically signs their casework request with their finger or mouse and submits it, a custom privacy release PDF is automatically rendered within the app. The casework data and privacy release PDF are securely transferred in real-time to an office’s casework tracking system (e.g., IQ, iConstituent, IndiGov, et al) to facilitate the office’s normal casework business process. The privacy release PDF can be shared with relevant agencies for casework; it complies with all the requirements of the Privacy Act of 1974 and the Government Paperwork Elimination Act (GPEA).
Aside from providing a modern, digital experience that most constituents are accustomed to, it improves office efficiency by eliminating hundreds of hours of wasted time (no more tracking down forms and data entry). It can accelerate the resolution of constituent casework by weeks.
DotGov’s award-winning Casework App was born at a Congressional Hackathon and was recognized for innovation by the Open Gov Foundation. Recent updates include:
- Address auto-complete;
- Constituent validation;
- Multi-language support;
- Extensive agency-specific conditional logic;
- Data field validation;
- E-newsletter opt-in;
- Agency-specific privacy release PDFs; and,
- Custom-formated CRM data feeds.
There are no development costs and no software to maintain. The web-based app is available for a low annual subscription of $79 per month. (There is a one-time $99 set-up fee.)
